Full-Day Trips
$650 for 1-2 Anglers
- September-December and March-May
The California Delta has a rich angling history and striped bass are a huge component of this vast fishery.
Stripers are a great fly rod fish because they pull hard, strike aggressively, eat big flies, and like to inhabit the top 10 feet of the water column.
That means we can fish for them with floating lines and sinking lines depending on the time of day and time of year.
Captain Bryce Tedford is our go-to delta expert.
He spends mid-September through December and March through May chasing stripers non-stop.
During the summer he offers morning half-day trips for largemouth and smallmouth bass.
Stripers on the California Delta range in size from ten inches to thirty pounds.
Bryce's goal for each day is to connect with at least one striper over five pounds.
He says it's pretty normal to hook at least one ten-pound-plus striper per week of guiding.
Bryce's personal best is over 25 pounds and he has put numerous clients on fish over 20 pounds.
