Burney is right in the heart of our "Intermountain" region which lies between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta.
Burney Creek, Hat Creek and the Pit River are minutes away, Fall River is a half-hour's drive, and the McCloud is an hour away.
Burney is right next to McArthur-Burney Falls State Park and a short drive from Lassen Volcanic National Park.
There are several motels and numerous campgrounds in the area.

For the best mid-day dry fly action, try May/June and October.
We do a lot of nymph fishing in the summer months and save the dry fly fishing for the last hour of the day.

By Car:
Burney is located near the intersection of Highway 89 and Highway 299.
It's one hour from Redding on Highway 299, one hour from Mt Shasta City on Highway 89, and about an hour from the north entrance to Lassen Park on Highway 89/44.
By Air:
The Redding Airport (RDD) is an hour from Burney and has connections to San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Some of our guests fly in to Sacramento (SMF) or Reno (RNO) when fishing this area.
By Private Plane:
Some of our guests fly in to the Redding Jet Center or to Fall River Mills airport.
