A long weekend and a break in the weather, created a window to explore winter fishing on Hat Creek. Everyone netted a few fish in the morning, which helped shake off the winter rust. The afternoon warmed and nymphing, indicator and tightline, picked up. Later, as we hiked out, rising fish offered a tempting opportunity but we agreed to leave them for the next trip.
