Trinity River: , by Luke Geraty: Rain, sleet, & snow on the Trinity: 4 stars Tod and his son Conor came up to fish the Trinity with me and we got the full spectrum of weather. Rain started pretty early and at one point we had sleet and then snow falling on us as we kept casting and mending run after run. But with such beautiful water (steelhead green) and near perfect flows (1,000cfs), we were bound to find steelhead success! And we did! Both got a nice wild adult each and a handful of halfies too. Plus, Tod got a beautiful brownie to top the day off. The day ended with sunshine and we couldn't have been happier! This marks my last booked trip on the Trinity for the season, but I think there are still fresh fish to be found! If you wanna get out and fish, hit me up and let's talk dates. Steelheading offers rewards that are hard to capture in words but the payoff is priceless! Let's go! And great job, Tod and Conor! Way to stick 'em!
