It felt oddly unfamiliar to be steelheading on a sunny 70 degree day but Luke, Mike Wright and I enjoyed the perfect weather while finding several adults mixed among some smaller fish. If being cold and wet isn't your thing but you like chasing steelhead, consider booking an early season trip in the next few weeks. Conditions are likely to be comfortable, maybe even pleasant and adult fish are in the mix.
