I had a really fun day with my guest Steve today. Steve is new to two-handed casting, so today was intended to be an instructional day to prepare him for his upcoming Spey Stay with us in Gold Beach, OR. Other than a very cold morning, it was a beautiful winter day on the Trinity. Steve had a solid bump in one run before hooking into a very spirted wild fish! After 6-7 really good runs, we were able to bring it to net. He hooked another fish, but the fight was over after a few really good head shakes. Steve’s casting improved throughout the day and he had a few more good bumps, so it was a good day!
