It’s always hard for me to rate our fishing trips. Is it all about the number and size of the fish? At what number does a day go from good to great? Avid flyfisher Don brought his son Ben to the Lower Sac to introduce him to the sport. Ben was a quick learner and hooked and landed fish throughout the day. We had some slow periods, and there have been days when we’ve caught more fish, but when a father and son can spend time outdoors on a beautiful river under clear skies while catching wild rainbows that’s a great day in my book.
