Mel and David fish a lot and really enjoy steelheading on the Trinity. In spite of non-steelhead conditions (sunny mild weather and low clear water) we ended up having a great day. The first 3/4 of the day was very slow (do I smell a skunk?) but in the late innings Mel had a flurry of grabs. We landed a couple and lost a couple! At the end of the day you just have to show up and fish. You can’t catch steelhead sitting on the couch!
