Today was pretty blustery for my guests Don and his son Ben. This was Ben’s first-time fly fishing, so the wind made the common challenges – well…harder. But that didn’t stop Ben from hooking into some really nice fish. The bite was not as active as it’s been, but Don and Ben had some pretty consistent action beginning mid-morning that lasted through the afternoon. Not only was the fishing great, but we saw bald eagles, golden eagles, and a few different species of hawks in addition to all the usual suspects. Gotta love spring fishing on the Sac!
