Today my guests Larry and Al were fortunate enough to get reservations at the Nature Conservancy, so I took the long and bumpy road down to fish this storied section of water. They wanted to get a jump on their Diablo Valley Fly Fishers club outing and also get dialed in on how to fish the McCloud. Al landed a small fish on one of his first casts, then hooked some larger fish and quickly learned just how hard they fight! Larry hooked a few and landed two decent fish, making the long drive and long hike worth the effort.
