Today was special for my guests Dennis and his daughter Tara. I have guided Dennis at our Spey Camp on the lower Klamath and taken him out on a Trout Spey trip, but this was our first time together on an indicator trip. Today was Tara’s first-time fishing…ever, so she wasn’t sure what to expect. It didn’t take her long to get the hang of casting, but she struggled a bit once her flies got eaten. After some misses, she finally landed her first fish after lunch. Tara’s confidence built throughout the day, and she landed her largest fish right at our take-out, which was the perfect end to an awesome day!
