Today I fished a double and worked the upper section of the river. It was a very brisk morning with temps hovering around the freezing point but was forecasted to be in the 80's that afternoon. At midnight that night the Bureau of Reclamation started to ramp down the flows from Lewiston Dam with a goal of 300cfs by the end of the day coming from 450cfs and holding that flow for the foreseeable future, this made for a very slow day swinging flies. We had one adult grab and battled the billions of smolt that have made their presence. There are plenty of fish in the system with more showing every day.
