Half day trip... afternoon... caddis everywhere... BWO's showed up too. The fishing on the Lower Sac is crazy lately. There's definitely peak times, but when a bunch of bugs start popping off, the trout seem more than willing to participate. We threw a lot of caddis and mayflies and caught a lot of 18+ inch fish. It was pretty hot, but that doesn't seem to bother the trout since the water is FREEZING COLD! I only know it's cold because I decided to take a quick dip to cool off and decided it was much colder than anticipated! It's going to just get better and better as we head into October. It's time to book a trip or two.
