Some days you have it figured out and other days the fish are laughing at you. The fish seemed a bit more grumpy than usual and I"m sure part of that is because there's been a lot of river activity. The good news is that everyone plays well together and we can all enjoy this amazing river. The bad news is that sometimes the fish don't get the memo about why we're here.

We hooked some really big fish and they schooled us a bit. It's worth mentioning that you have to be on your A-game when you hook into some of our larger fish because they will rip off 50 feet of line and break you off faster than you can say, "I got one." Tiny flies... smallish tippet... and big fish can be a easy way to experience heartbreak.
