I spent a really fun day on the Lower Sac today with Jake and Alan.  It was Alan's first time fly fishing from a drift boat and he figured it out right away.  He hogged all the fish all morning before finally letting his buddy Jake catch some in the afternoon.  Fishing was very consistent throughout the day and we hooked excellent numbers of fish.  We also managed to dodge thunderstorms all day long and get off the river before we got dumped on!  The river is in excellent shape above Cottonwood Creek (below Balls Ferry) and is chocolate-brown below that point.  Salmon are just starting to dig redds up in Redding right now.
