Matt and John jumped in my boat to float the Trinity River in search of some of those elusive steelhead that we're so crazy about. Things started out cold... as in thirty degrees! But once the sun poked out, things warmed up and we had a very enjoyable time on the river. Flows are low and the water is clear but we managed to hook a handful of adults alongside some small half pounders and a couple 'tweeners. Steelheading is a lot of fun when you put 'em in the net! Besides being low and clear, the river fished well and I think these two will be back!
