The lower sac is fishing well up in town. Fish are keyed in on small bugs primarily baetis and midges. In winter it is a great time to catch big trout up in town with much fewer boats than normal, and it is a great time to chase steelhead in the lower river. If you like solitude and quality trout, December and January are fantastic months to fish the Sac.
