Colin Coogan and I headed over to the Trinity to scout it out after all of the rain and the Trinity did NOT disappoint! Flow wise, the river still has a lot of water coming in through all of the various creeks and runoff spots, but the color was really good and the steelhead were chomping flies. Below Douglas Indian Creek I'm sure it's still a bit muddy, but that's quickly changing each day. Most of the fish we hooked were wild and fresh fish (aka lots of jumps and runs). There's no doubt that now's a good time to get out there and chase some of those elusive ocean run rainbow trout. I think the fishing should be good for at least another month in a half if not more!
